SHOCKING NEWS: reported by Football guru Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea star player has told the club he’s going to quit his football journey with the club at the end of the season to join Bayer Munich just barely 2 years since joining the club after it was confirmed that Bayer are very much interested in him. It’s confirmed that personal terms have been agreed and Bayer Munich will submit an official bid during the summer transfer window.

Since Thomas Tuchel’s arrival at the end of the previous season, Bayern Munich has been highly active in the transfer market, setting unprecedented spending records in the Bundesliga. In the summer, they secured Harry Kane and Kim Min-jae for a combined €150 million (potentially rising to €170 million). However, their January transfer activities were initially focused on acquiring a right-back and a centre-back.

Negotiations with PSG for former Leipzig player Nordi Mukiele proved unsuccessful, leading Bayern to redirect their efforts and spend €30 million on Sacha Boey, his compatriot. Additionally, they added Eric Dier from Tottenham to reinforce their squad. Unfortunately, a setback occurred when winger Kingsley Coman suffered an ACL injury late in January, prompting Bayern to further delve into the market.

As a result of Coman’s injury, Bayern expedited Bryan Zaragoza’s summer move from Granada, agreeing to bring him in six months earlier by paying an additional sum. Despite Zaragoza being the chosen solution, The Athletic’s Raphael Honigstein revealed that Chelsea’s Mykhailo Mudryk, a previous flop, was briefly considered as a replacement for Coman. However, Bayern’s interest in Mudryk was for a potential loan, as they were not inclined towards a permanent move.

Notably, Mudryk had joined Chelsea just a year ago for a fee that could reach up to €100 million. Financial constraints, particularly after acquiring Boey, meant that Mudryk was beyond Bayern’s January budget. Despite being a loan option, Bayern ultimately made the right decision by opting for Zaragoza. The Spaniard has showcased impressive performances, contributing as many goals in 21 games this season as Mudryk has managed in 41 outings since joining Chelsea in January 2023. Mudryk, at 23, has emerged as one of the most disappointing signings in recent Premier League history.
