Liverpool are on the verge of reaching a complete agreement with Ruben Amorim, who appears poised to succeed Klopp at Anfield.

Numerous reports circulating in the media suggest that the Reds are poised to name the Sporting CP manager as Klopp’s successor at the conclusion of the current season.

According to Diario de Noticias, Amorim is anticipated to finalize a move to Liverpool, with the deal expected to be facilitated by a payment of Β£8.5m to Sporting CP.

Sporting CP had originally paid Β£8.5m to acquire Amorim from Braga when he was still an untested coach. However, club President Varandas had expressed confidence in Amorim’s abilities, asserting that he would justify the hefty fee. True to Varandas’ words, Amorim led Sporting CP to the league title the following year, ending a 19-year championship drought.

Amorim had reached an agreement with Varandas that would allow him to depart for a big club for the same Β£8.5m fee. Now, according to Sky Germany, the 39-year-old has reportedly verbally committed to joining Liverpool.

Former Sporting CP captain Oceano Cruz believes that the Portuguese manager would thrive at Anfield. Speaking to Cadena Ser (via O Jogo), Cruz remarked:

“Ruben Amorim, with his work ethic and motivational skills, has unearthed new talents and transformed Sporting into a formidable team with a strong chance of winning the national championship. He is more than capable for Liverpool; he is one of the top managers in Europe. He knows what he wants.”

Liverpool swiftly moved to finalize appointments for the new CEO of Football and Sporting Director, signaling their intent to solidify their managerial structure. Now, they are poised to secure the services of Ruben Amorim as their head coach.
