Playing regularly is paramount to me.” Reflecting on his chances for the upcoming season, he remarked, “In the past, I didn’t see myself as a regular alongside Virgil [Van Dijk]. I’m uncertain about my prospects next summer. I believe I’m performing well and can compete at Liverpool, but cementing a starting position is another matter. Virgil and [Ibrahima] Konate present formidable challenges. It’s going to be tough.”
