Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr is reportedly gearing up for a substantial offer to acquire Manchester United’s Casemiro. As Manchester United prepares for a squad overhaul, offloading high-earning players is reportedly a top priority in Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s ongoing restructuring at Old Trafford.

Casemiro, the highest earner at £375,000-a-week, is approaching 32 years old and recently returned from a hamstring injury that sidelined him since October. Despite being named as an unused substitute in the 2-2 draw against Tottenham, United is looking to recoup a significant portion of the £70 million paid to Real Madrid in the summer of 2022.

According to reports from Footballwave, Al-Nassr is poised to make an ‘audacious’ bid for the experienced Brazilian, aiming to reunite him with former Real Madrid teammate Cristiano Ronaldo. With Casemiro under contract for another two years, the potential deal would likely require a payment of around £20 million to terminate his contract prematurely.

On a different front, Gianluca Di Marzio of Sky Italy suggests that Manchester United’s leadership is keenly interested in Juventus center-back Gleison Bremer. The 28-year-old, who completed a £45 million move from Torino in the summer of 2022, has attracted attention amid uncertainty surrounding Raphael Varane’s future at Old Trafford. Erik ten Hag’s failure to secure another defender last year could prompt United to pursue Bremer in the upcoming summer transfer window.

Di Marzio reveals that United has been monitoring Bremer for several months and is anticipated to make a move in the summer. Bremer, contracted until 2028, holds a pivotal role under manager Massimiliano Allegri, having started in all 21 Serie A games this season.
