Since it has become clear that manager Erik ten Hag does not have Van de Beek in his plans, the player has been pursuing a move away from Old Trafford for weeks.

He has played for the Old Trafford club just twice this season, for a total of just 21 minutes, due to injury setbacks.

Van van Beek’s reputation is still high due to his achievements at Ajax, even though he plays a supporting role at Manchester United. Romano has confirmed that Van de Beek has agreed to join 2022 Europa League winners Eintracht Frankfurt.

Romano announced on X, the platform that was formerly known as Twitter: “We’re going to Eintracht Frankfurt, Donny van de Beek! Agreement in writing now in place.

“Loan until June; buy option included for possible package worth €15 million; add-ons included.” It’s not required.

“Man Utd will also receive a loan fee from Eintracht.”

Financially, United suffers greatly from Van de Beek.
With this deal, Man Utd stands to lose more than half of their investment in Van de Beek; however, the 26-year-old has devolved into a makeweight in a team that desperately needs to shed players.

His estimated transfer value has dropped to €7 million from a peak of €55 million when he arrived at Old Trafford with such fanfare. He was signed from Ajax in 2020 for €39 million, but he has never appeared to be worthy of that amount.

Van van Beek might be the first player that Manchester United needs to give up on as new minority owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe looks to improve the first team roster and get the team back to the top of the Premier League standings.
