Rumour has it that Jadon Sancho is “very open” to going back to Borussia Dortmund but “secretly” wants another chance at Manchester United.

The 23-year-old has not been a member of Manchester United’s first team since September.

Erik ten Hag stated following the game that Sancho had not been receiving enough preparation time for Manchester United’s Premier League matchup against Arsenal. Sancho was left out of the team for that matchup.

The former winger for Borussia Dortmund angrily denied this, calling his manager a liar.

Since then, he has not played and is not consuming meals or training with the Carrington first team.

Reintegration into the team would have occurred if Sancho had apologised to Ten Hag, but it doesn’t seem like he has.

After he had an argument with Ten Hag, the English transfer window closed, but the Saudi window remained open, so he was immediately linked to a September move to the Middle East.

Sancho is set to depart when the transfer window reopens in January, though a deal never materialised.

The Saudi Pro League is rumoured to be interested in the England international, in addition to Juventus and Borussia Dortmund.

This week, rumours circulated that Sancho and Donyell Malen of Dortmund were the subjects of a potential trade between United and Dortmund.

In talks with Dortmund, who are reportedly keen to re-sign Sancho, his wage demands are thought to be a significant roadblock.

Transfer expert Florian Plettenberg from Germany claims that Sancho is “very open” to rejoining Dortmund during the winter transfer window.

The player’s affordability for Dortmund and the question of whether or not Sancho’s return is “supported by everyone in the club” are mentioned as barriers, though.

Plettenberg continues, “At this time, there is no direct interaction” between Borussia and Sancho’s party.

Interestingly, it’s said that Sancho is longing for a fresh start at Manchester City, “secretly.”
Over the course of four years, Sancho stood out for Dortmund, contributing 64 assists and 50 goals in 137 games.

With just 18 goals in 82 games, he has been a major letdown for the Premier League’s elite teams.
