BREAKING NEWS: Liverpool is on the verge of signing Juventus star and wonder kid this transfer window. Because of his time in Germany, Yildiz is no stranger to Liverpool sporting director Jorg Schmadtke and the latter is apparently very keen to bring the teenager to Anfield.
According to a report, Liverpool is closely monitoring Kenan Yildiz, the wonderkid from Juventus.
The young Turkish player is considered one of Europe’s best in his age group, and he proved why during the most recent international break. Yildiz, who is only 18 years old, played for Turkey’s seniors in a 3-2 victory over Germany in Berlin, scoring a fantastic goal.
Germany is accustomed to Yildiz. Conversely, the child was raised in Bayern’s youth system after being born in Regensburg. But before the previous season, Yildiz signed with Juventus, deciding it was time for a fresh challenge. In his first season, he primarily played for the U19s. With 29 Primavera 1 games played, he finished the season with an incredible 11 goals and seven assists.
Yildiz is well-known to Jorg Schmadtke, the sporting director of Liverpool, thanks to his time spent in Germany, and it seems that Schmadtke is eager to bring the teenager to Anfield.
Is Yildiz travelling to England?
At least, that’s what an AS report claims. According to the Spanish publication, Liverpool is ‘closely following’ Yildiz, and Schmadtke was already aware of the young player when he was in charge of Wolfsburg’s hiring.
The 18-year-old is reportedly a good fit for Liverpool because he can play both centrally and out wide, as a ten and a striker. But there is an issue: Juventus.
The Bianconeri have absolutely no desire to lose a player they believe will be important to their team in the future. Yildiz is now a regular member of the first team and is highly valued by them. He has played in five Serie A games this season. In addition, they signed him until August of 2027, and there is no release clause in the new agreement.
Liverpool’s financial might may put the Italians to the test, but securing the young player will be extremely difficult.
