Madrid has reportedly entered the competition to sign the England striker, according to TeamTALK.

Madrid is searching for a world-class replacement for legendary player Karim Benzema, who left the team this past summer to relocate to Saudi Arabia.

According to TeamTALK, Madrid is currently a strong contender to challenge Chelsea and Arsenal for the Toney in 2024.

However, the report notes that it’s not impossible that Toney decides to stay at Brentford and extends his contract beyond its current expiration in 2025.

Up until now, Arsenal and Chelsea seemed to be in a two-horse race for Toney.

The Gunners have been considering several excellent options as they search for a striker in the upcoming season.

These players are Brentford striker Toney, Juventus’ Dusan Vlahovic, and Napoli’s Victor Osimhen.

Chelsea is in a similar situation to Arsenal in that they have had trouble getting goals from their number nine on a regular basis. They are targeting nearly the same players and shopping in the same striker market as Arsenal.

With 20 Premier League goals in 2022–2023 Toney has proven himself to be one of the best English strikers around, dispelling some doubts about whether he can step up at a team the size of Arsenal, Chelsea, or Real Madrid.

According to reports, Brentford is reportedly seeking a fee of approximately £60 million for Toney, who has played for Peterborough United, Northampton, and Newcastle.

Having been capped once by the England national team, he hopes to earn a spot in the squad for next summer’s Euro 2024.

Toney will resume playing football in January despite his current suspension for betting offences.
