DEVASTATING NEWS: WAR in Santiago Bernabeu “i will leave the club if the club signs Mbappe i don’t mean to disrespect the club but my decision has been made” reports coming from Fabrizio Romano states that Real Madrid star man had announced that he will leave the club with immediate effect if the club signs Mbappe.

It appears inevitable that Kylian Mbappe will sign with Real Madrid within the next ten years.

The France international signed a new contract at Paris Saint-Germain last summer, turning down the opportunity to join Los Blancos on a free transfer. However, the Santiago Bernabeu is thought to be the most likely destination for what is arguably the best player in the world.

A move is expected the following year since Mbappe’s PSG contract expires in 2024, but considering his past, he might decide to stay in Paris longer.

The 24-year-old will undoubtedly be pursued by Saudi Arabia in the summer transfer window, but a move to Real Madrid has a certain charm that the richest league in football might never be able to match.

Mbappe might be stopped from joining the Spanish powerhouses, though, by Los Blancos.

The Frenchman is PSG’s star player, but if he were to join Carlo Ancelotti’s team, he would have to contend with a number of formidable opponents.

The two most common and evident examples are Vinicius Junior and Jude Bellingham, both of whom would be affected by Mbappe’s arrival. The PSG star’s presence could crowd the former’s preferred area on the pitch, while the latter might have to move deeper to make room for the Frenchman.

But a new face has entered the fight after making a strong impression this campaign. At Real Madrid, Rodrygo has frequently been overshadowed by Vinicius Jr.—not because of their relative standing on the pitch, but rather because of their reputations.

However, since Karim Benzema left, he has thrived and is now producing huge moments far more frequently than he did previously.

Rodrygo has returned.
In Real Madrid’s 3-0 victory over Cadiz on Sunday, Rodrygo scored twice and provided one assist in his most recent endeavour. Due to an injury, Rodrygo replaced his teammate Vinicius for Brazil, and he made all the difference against a determined Cadiz team.

After struggling in the first few weeks of the new season, he now has five goals and four assists in his last three Los Blancos appearances.

Ancelotti has utilised Vinicius Jr. and Rodrygo as split strikers this season since Bellingham’s arrival, but the former initially struggled to adjust to this new position.

Bellingham was the star of the show in Rodrygo’s first 15 Real Madrid appearances of the 2023–24 campaign, with just two goals and one assist. They seem destined for a deep Champions League run and are the clear favourites in La Liga now that he has established his authority.

Following his brilliant performance against Cadiz, Rodrygo was referred to as “transformed” and “a hero by accident” by Spanish outlet AS, via FootMercato. A late illness bug eliminated Brahim Diaz, who was supposed to start in place of the Brazilian, and Rodrygo was chosen instead.

Real Madrid has a strong Brazilian front line with Endrick joining in 2024. If Rodrygo continues to play at this level, Mbappe is not required.

Though he was considered a very slight weakness in Los Blancos’ attack, Rodrygo is back to his best, and hopes for Mbappe are starting to dwindle.
