BREAKING NEWS: JURGEN KLOPP is interested in signing outstanding Argentine star for £35 million, and he is exactly what Liverpool requires in January.

Valentin Barco, a defender for Argentina, is apparently a target for Liverpool during the summer transfer window.

Jurgen Klopp’s side are in desperate need of defensive reinforcements after suffering several injuries to an already depleted back line.

Calciomercato has reported that Liverpool is interested in signing Boca Juniors fullback Barco, while Andy Robertson is presently out.

Numerous well-known teams in Europe have expressed interest in the 19-year-old; last summer, reports stated that Manchester City and Chelsea were among them.

However, Liverpool will have to contend with Juventus, who are also interested in signing the Argentine, if they hope to get Barco.

The teenager has demonstrated that his ability to cross the ball is just as impressive as his ability to win it, making an impression at Boca Juniors in both offence and defence.

In 30 games last season, he registered one goal and four assists, solidifying his status as one of South America’s most exciting talents.

Barco might be the ideal player to replace the 29-year-old Robertson in the upcoming years, despite the fact that the player is anticipated to return early in 2019 following a shoulder injury.
