EXCLUSIVE NEWS: Reports coming from Fabrizio Romano states that two of Manchester United superstars are keen to move to the Saudi Pro League. Two of United’s players has frequently been connected to moving to Saudi Arabia, a midfielder and a striker for Manchester United. They seem planning to move there anytime soon, though. Even though TeamForm currently ranks the SPL as the 66th greatest league in the world, this is expected to alter in the near future as an increasing number of well-known athletes relocate to the UAE to further their careers.

As of right now, only athletes who are nearing the end of their careers have been targeted, with a few notable exceptions. Despite the big names, the league has had trouble finding players in their prime.

Bigger names are likely to join as the league expands, and in five years, it’s hard to predict how big the league will have grown and whether it will actually pose a threat to the Premier League and other leagues.

One player that has frequently been connected to moving to Saudi Arabia is Casemiro, a midfielder for Manchester United. He doesn’t seem to be planning to move there anytime soon, though.

Fabrizio Romano, in an interview with footballwave for his special Daily Briefing piece, stated:

“As of right now, I’ve been told that nothing is happening with Casemiro or the Saudi Pro League teams.

“There aren’t any discussions or specific recommendations being made. What transpires in the summer will have to wait and watch, but a lot of things, like Saudi intentions and Man United decisions, come into play.

“I believe he’s still a vital player; his injuries have just not gone his way.”

Casemiro’s performances have declined this season, and with Sir Jim Ratcliffe joining the team to oversee athletics, it seems certain that the Brazilian will be let go at some point—either to the Saudi Pro League or somewhere else.
