BREAKING NEWS: According to Fabrizio Romano Liverpool FC has secured the signing of a very special Brazilian wonderkid who is being nicknamed the next Pele. Liverpool FC finally wins the race against top European giant in securing this top talent.

Liverpool has been keeping a "long time" tab on Palmeiras wonderkid Luis Guilherme's development.

The midfielder Andre Trindade of Fluminense is still being connected to the Reds, who appear likely to conduct business in Brazil in January.

Furthermore, journalist Fabrizio Romano claims on Twitter that Andre might not be the first player to join Liverpool straight out of Brazil.

“Verified as official. There is a €55 million [£48 million] release clause in Luiz Guilherme’s new long-term contract, which runs until 2026, the journalist claimed last night.

“Top European clubs like Bayern, Liverpool, Chelsea, and others have been following Luiz for a very long time.”

Liverpool is monitoring Luiz’s progress.

It’s high time Liverpool surpassed their competitors in acquiring youthful South American players.

The advantages of signing young players from the continent have become even more clear in the post-Brexit world.

Liverpool, though, has always held back. Over the past year or so, Chelsea has raided Ecuador and Brazil for some of their best talents, but the Reds have been completely absent. Hopefully, things are going to change soon.

Andre won’t be quite as compatible as someone like Guilherme, if they do bring him in.

The 22-year-old is a more seasoned player who might quickly be a member of the starting lineup. However, Guilherme, a left-footed forward who has only made 26 appearances for Palmeiras, is still getting used to life in the pros.

26 games is still a lot of games for a 17-year-old. It’s obvious he’s got something unique.

Naturally, the £48 million price seems exorbitant, especially in light of the likelihood that Andre will be much less expensive.

It’s hard to see Liverpool taking any real action here unless that price drops considerably.

Nevertheless, it’s important to monitor Guilherme’s performance as the Brazilian domestic season approaches its conclusion.

His web videos make him appear to be a promising talent. It’s good to see Liverpool at least exploring the possibilities.
