Multiple reports from Italian media indicate that Manchester United are seriously considering signing Teun Koopmeiners during the summer transfer window. According to Calcio Mercato, the Red Devils are prepared to pay around 60-70 million euros (£59.5 million) to acquire the Dutch international.

Tutto Atalanta also reports that Manchester United are ready to make a substantial offer to secure the 26-year-old attacking midfielder, suggesting that they are willing to meet the mentioned fee to sign Koopmeiners from Atalanta. Additionally, CorSera (via Paisley Gates) notes that Manchester United recently spent significantly on Hojlund, indicating they have the financial capacity to meet Atalanta’s demands for Koopmeiners, which stand at 60-70 million euros (£59.5 million).

Manchester United, however, face stiff competition from Liverpool, who are also capable of meeting the asking price. Juventus holds an advantage in the race as Koopmeiners has expressed a preference to stay in Serie A.

Koopmeiners excelled in the No.10 role for Atalanta last season, scoring 15 goals and providing 7 assists across all competitions. At Old Trafford, the central attacking midfielder position is currently held by Bruno Fernandes, considered one of the best players in the squad. However, The Guardian reports that Fernandes’ future is uncertain, with co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe willing to entertain serious offers of at least £70 million if the Portuguese star were to leave this summer.
