Real Madrid has already announced two major signings for the summer: Kylian Mbappe and Endrick Felipe. A third deal, potentially for striker Joselu Mato, is also on the horizon. Joselu, currently set to return to his parent club Espanyol after Euro 2024, had an impressive 2023-24 season, scoring 18 goals across all competitions despite limited starts. Real Madrid’s management has been highly impressed with the 34-year-old and, according to Relevo, they are keen to secure him on a permanent basis.

The buy clause in Joselu’s loan agreement with Espanyol allows Real Madrid to sign him for €1.5 million. Carlo Ancelotti has been encouraged to approve this deal and has responded positively, recognizing that Joselu brings a unique skill set to the squad that will complement the new arrivals.

Despite the expected limited playing time due to the signings of Mbappe and Endrick, Joselu is enthusiastic about staying at Real Madrid. Given the mutual interest, finalizing this deal in the coming weeks seems straightforward and beneficial for all parties involved.
