They are allegedly willing to offer Felix in exchange, a player who has recently been on loan to Chelsea and Barcelona.
Joao Felix joined Atletico Madrid from Benfica in 2019 for approximately €113 million (£96 million), making him the fourth most expensive player in history at that time. However, he has struggled to find his footing at Atletico and is expected to move permanently this summer.
Atletico’s proposal involves swapping Felix for Greenwood. Manchester United are deliberating whether Felix would be a suitable addition to their squad, considering his preference to join a club competing in the Champions League.
Greenwood, who spent last season on loan at Getafe, scored 10 goals in 36 appearances and was named player of the season.
