Barcelona is reportedly considering the sale of Brazilian forward Raphinha for a modest fee of €55 million during the upcoming summer transfer window.

According to a report from Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona is open to the idea of offloading Raphinha for €55 million, which is the same amount they paid to acquire the winger from Leeds United in 2022. Despite his contract running until 2027, Raphinha himself is reportedly not keen on leaving the club this summer, complicating matters for the Catalan side as they entertain offers for him. Moreover, Raphinha’s recent performances have seen a significant uptick, with the Brazilian registering four goals and three assists in his last six appearances across all competitions.

With nine goals and 12 assists in 35 outings across all competitions this season, Raphinha’s contributions have been notable. However, Barcelona is purportedly planning a substantial overhaul of their squad following a season marred by disappointing results and a lack of silverware.

The extent of Barcelona’s activity in the summer transfer window will hinge on their financial circumstances, which have been strained due to underwhelming performances on the pitch.

Historically, winning titles has been a reliable means for Barcelona to generate revenue. However, with their recent struggles, the club may find it challenging to make significant signings without corresponding sales. The Blaugrana’s hopes of securing La Liga were dashed after a 4-2 defeat to Girona, and they risk missing out on qualification for the Supercopa de Espana if they fail to secure a second-place finish in the league table. These setbacks are expected to result in substantial financial losses for the club.

Furthermore, Barcelona’s failures in other competitions, such as the Champions League, Supercopa de Espana, and Copa Del Rey, have further compounded their financial woes. The club’s failure to qualify for the 2025 Club World Cup has also deprived them of a significant financial windfall.

As a result, despite being linked with high-profile names like Bernardo Silva, Joshua Kimmich, Martin Zubimendi, and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Barcelona may struggle to make major signings in the upcoming transfer window. To alleviate their financial situation, the club is reportedly open to offers for key players in their squad, including Ronald Araujo, Frenkie De Jong, and Jules Kounde.

Additionally, there is speculation that Barcelona could part ways with Robert Lewandowski, despite the striker expressing his desire to remain with the club.
