Despite only joining Liverpool from Stuttgart for a fee of £16 million just a year ago, Endo has emerged as a crucial figure this season, featuring in 41 matches across various competitions and scoring three goals. Despite initial doubts surrounding his arrival, particularly following Liverpool’s failure to secure their primary transfer targets Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia, Endo has managed to win over the fans with his performances.
Endo’s contributions haven’t gone unnoticed by manager Jurgen Klopp, but speculation from journalist Graeme Bailey suggests that the 31-year-old could be eyeing a return to the Bundesliga.
Bailey remarked in an interview with Rousing The Kop that Endo’s acquisition may have been intended as a temporary fix, hinting at the possibility of a move back to Germany.
