Barcelona is reportedly considering a move to sign Juventus midfielder Adrian Rabiot on a free transfer this summer, as per reports from Barca Blaugranes. The proposed deal would potentially offer the French international a two-year contract with an option to extend for a third season. However, securing Rabiot’s services won’t be straightforward, as other clubs like Manchester United, Arsenal, Inter Milan, and Bayern Munich have also shown interest in him.
Currently, Rabiot plays a significant role for Juventus, having started 22 matches in Serie A this season, contributing four goals and three assists. Barcelona’s interest in the 28-year-old stems largely from their financial constraints. With several key players like Frenkie de Jong, Ronaldo Araujo, Gavi, and Raphinha linked to potential moves away from Barcelona, the club is seeking ways to balance its budget, as reported by The Athletic. Beyond financial considerations, Rabiot’s addition would bring stability and experience to Barcelona’s midfield. Meanwhile, former Barcelona defender Jean-Clair Todibo has hinted at a potential return to Camp Nou. Todibo, who arrived from Toulouse in 2019 but departed two years later for Nice, discussed his future plans and did not rule out the possibility of rejoining Barcelona. Initially brought in with the intention of eventually replacing Gerard Pique, Todibo felt he wasn’t prepared for such a role at the time.
