CONFIRMED BREAKING NEWS: Confirmed by Fabrizio Romano, Manchester city has agreed on a deal for Bayern Munich star. Earlier this morning it was confirmed that Manchester had agreed on a cash plus swap deal with Bayern Munich for their star player with the player wanting to make a move to Etihad. He said ” I like Bayern but I love Manchester city and I want to play in the premier league when I heard they want me I didn’t have to think twice i say yes”.

Following the Reds’ commanding 4-1 victory over Brentford, which further solidified their lead at the top of the table, Manchester City hosted Chelsea at The Etihad with the knowledge that a win would keep them within striking distance, especially considering their game in hand.

Former City player Raheem Sterling gave Chelsea the lead, but despite Rodri’s late equalizer for the hosts, Pep Guardiola’s side couldn’t secure a win, leaving them trailing Jurgen Klopp’s men by four points.

Off the pitch, it seems that both clubs are gearing up for a different kind of battle. According to footballwave, scouts from both City and Liverpool were present at Bayer Leverkusen’s 3-0 triumph over Bundesliga rivals Bayern Munich last weekend.

The report suggests that representatives from the two Premier League giants attended the match to observe Bayer star Florian Wirtz and Bayern’s Jamal Musiala. Both players are not only highly regarded talents in Germany but are also considered among the top young prospects in Europe.

Liverpool had previously been seen as frontrunners in the race to secure both players’ signatures. However, City’s presence at the recent match indicates that the Reds may face stiff competition in their pursuit.

Musiala, aged 20, made the move to the German side from Chelsea’s youth academy in 2019. Since then, he has amassed 150 appearances for the club across all competitions at the senior level, contributing 38 goals and 26 assists.

Wirtz, on the other hand, has been a key figure for Leverkusen since joining from fellow German side Koln in 2020. The midfielder has particularly impressed this season, notching five goals and providing nine assists to propel Xabi Alonso’s side to the top of the Bundesliga table after 22 matches.
