During Real Madrid’s recent La Liga match against Getafe, an incident involving Bellingham allegedly making derogatory remarks towards Greenwood surfaced after a tackle on him. This led to an official complaint being lodged against Bellingham with La Liga authorities.

Now, Bellingham finds himself confronted with the possibility of a 10-game suspension, a development that has caught both him and the club off guard. The matter has been escalated to the RFEF competition committee for further investigation, as per reports from the Sun.

A designated judge has been tasked with conducting a comprehensive inquiry into the incident and is expected to deliver a verdict within the next two weeks, determining Bellingham’s fate. The severity of the punishment, if he is found guilty, will hinge upon the classification of the offense.

A “serious” offense might result in a four-game ban, while a more severe “grave” offense could lead to a suspension of up to 10 matches. Bellingham, who has made a significant impact since his arrival from Dortmund in the summer, scoring 16 goals and providing 3 assists in 21 league appearances and a total of 20 goals and 8 assists across all competitions, stands to suffer a considerable setback if the ban is enforced.

This potential suspension would undoubtedly be a significant blow to Real Madrid, given Bellingham’s stellar contributions to the team’s performances.
