Following Chelsea’s disappointing 4-2 loss to Wolverhampton Wanderers, Thiago Silva’s wife, Belle, shared a thought-provoking post on social media, expressing her concern. Despite taking the lead through Cole Palmer at Stamford Bridge, the Blues were outplayed, with Matheus Cunha securing a hat-trick and Axel Disasi adding an own goal. Thiago Silva managed to score for Chelsea in the closing stages, but it proved to be a mere consolation in a devastating defeat that pushed them to 11th place, just below Wolves, marking their 10th league loss of the season.

As Mauricio Pochettino faces increasing pressure due to Chelsea’s struggles, Belle Silva’s post on X (formerly Twitter) during the game sparked discussions among the Stamford Bridge faithful. She stated, “It’s time to change. If you wait any longer, it will be too late.” Many Chelsea fans interpreted her words as a call for change, potentially referring to parting ways with the Argentine coach. Some fans playfully suggested Belle should manage Chelsea, while others questioned whether the change she mentioned was aimed at the manager or her husband Thiago Silva.

Pochettino, who took charge of Chelsea in July, is the third permanent manager under Todd Boehly’s co-ownership. Despite significant financial backing in the summer transfer window, with a reported £434.5 million spent, the team has shown little improvement from their 12th-placed finish in the Premier League last season. The Blues were even booed off the pitch after the disastrous defeat to Wolves.

Jamie O’Hara criticized Chelsea’s performance, deeming it “embarrassing” and emphasizing the talent within the squad. Despite having skilled players like Caicedo, Enzo Fernandez, Conor Gallagher, Raheem Sterling, Cole Palmer, and new signing Nkunku, Chelsea’s style of play has been far from impressive. O’Hara expressed his disbelief, stating, “It’s a good side. You can’t tell me this team can’t play a decent style of football. They are miles off it. It’s embarrassing!”

Chelsea not only faces defeats but is doing so in a woeful fashion. With a Carabao Cup final against Liverpool on the horizon (February 25), Pochettino finds himself under increasing scrutiny after lackluster performances, including a 4-1 loss at Anfield in the league midweek and the significantly worse outing against Wolverhampton Wanderers.
