The 20-year-old forward, heralded as one of Europe’s most promising talents, made a noteworthy transfer from Red Bull Salzburg to Leipzig last summer. His standout performances this season include eight goals in 25 games, prompting rumors of Chelsea expressing interest in acquiring him at the season’s end. Milan, eyeing a replacement for Olivier Giroud, has also been linked to the player since his move to Leipzig, with previous attempts to sign him.

According to Romano, Benjamin Sesko’s potential transfer is gaining attention from major clubs, particularly Milan. While there are no ongoing negotiations, multiple clubs have shown interest, and both Milan and Chelsea are actively seeking a new number nine in the upcoming summer transfer window. Giroud’s contract with Milan is set to expire, and at 38, he faces a potential departure.

Chelsea is considering various options for their striking role, with Victor Osimhen, Dusan Vlahovic, and Ivan Toney on their shortlist. Sesko’s contract reportedly contains a €50 million release clause. His rise began in 2019 when he joined Salzburg from Slovenian club Domzale. Salzburg, known for nurturing attacking talents like Sadio Mane, Erling Haaland, and Karim Adeyemi, sees Sesko as the next potential star in their prolific development system.

Sesko’s impact extends beyond club football, having scored 10 goals for the Slovenia national team. Anticipation surrounds his role in Euro 2024, marking Slovenia’s return to the Euros after a 24-year hiatus, with Sesko expected to play a crucial part in their campaign.
