SHOCKING NEWS: coming from Fabrizio Romano, the Police reveal statement after Manchester United manager was attacked outside Anfield. Police have opened an inquiry and are attempting to identify the individual who threw a bottle at Manchester United’s squad van prior to their match at Anfield.

Before Manchester United’s match at Anfield, someone threw a bottle at the team van. Police have launched an investigation and are trying to find out who it was.

As the Reds’ coach arrived at Liverpool FC’s stadium for today’s Premier League encounter between the longtime rivals, it was attacked.

It was struck by what appeared to be a glass bottle of Kopperberg while it was travelling along Anfield Road close to the Tia Hotel. On X, now known as Twitter, a video recorded the exact moment the bottle struck the top of the bus, causing a small crack in one of the side glasses.

Merseyside Police said in a statement that they would be examining CCTV and collaborating with Liverpool Football Club to identify those responsible, according to the Liverpool Echo.

Match Commander Chief Superintendent Mark Wiggins stated, “We are aware that there was some minor damage to the Manchester United team bus as it approached Anfield stadium this afternoon ahead of the Liverpool vs. Manchester United match.”

“The bus was travelling along Anfield Road near the Tia Hotel when it is thought that a bottle was thrown at it, chipping a side window and causing a hairline crack.”

Thankfully, there were no injuries on the bus or in the vicinity. It is unfortunate that this has happened, as we worked very closely with both clubs prior to the game to ensure the public’s safety as well as the teams’.
