SHOCKING NEWS: Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Real Madrid are planing to bring back two superstars back. In an interview with Ancelotti he said ” This players are doing well in their respective clubs, as you know the were our players before they were sold, with their performance in recent season we are looking back and have decided to bring them back to Santiago Bernabeu “.
According to reports in Spain, Real Madrid is monitoring Takefusa Kubo and Miguel Gutierrez while deciding whether to re-sign them.
Kubo, 22, left Los Blancos to join Real Sociedad on a permanent deal last summer after spending the previous three campaigns on loan at RCD Mallorca, Getafe and Villarreal
In 2022, Gutierrez was also sold, with Girona agreeing to a €4 million price.
Real Madrid has reportedly talked internally about re-signing both Kubo and Gutierrez in an effort to strengthen their starting lineup, according to Marca.
Although Real Madrid has had a strong start to the 2023–24 season (leading both La Liga and their Champions League group), the team is lacking in several areas, most notably in the forward positions.
Despite being a right winger and having to play as a center-forward in Carlo Ancelotti’s current system, Kubo would help relieve some of the pressure on the current forwards.
However, Gutierrez plays left-back, the same position as Fran Garcia, who returned to Los Blancos this summer after previously playing for Rayo Vallecano.
Real Madrid’s issue with the pursuit of Gutierrez
When Real Madrid sold Gutierrez to Girona, they included a 50% sell-on clause, which means they can buy him back for half the asking price of any other team. He isn’t too excited about going back to the Santiago Bernabeu, though.
When Marca asked Gutierrez if he regretted leaving Real Madrid, he said, “No.” Castilla and I were playing in the Primera RFEF. It’s not easy to make the transition to La Liga, and playing a lot of games and getting a lot of game time is difficult.
“I try to give them my best, and it couldn’t have gone better. I’ve landed in a position where the team has supported me and the coaching staff is aware of my traits and playing style. It couldn’t have worked out better, and there is no way to regret it.
“Since there are no plans in football, I don’t like to talk about the future,” he stated. “I just think about working with this team, having a great year, and we have a good squad to achieve it. I am happy at Girona, and I focus on the day-to-day.”
