I don’t want to be too negative, but he (onana) has always let us down from the beginning of the Champions League group stage it has not gone our way. We have to control our games every time, it’s not the first game we’ve had like this.” I’m tired of Onana’s indiscipline.

Realising that a victory in Istanbul would increase their chances of making it to the knockout stages, United got off to a fast start, taking a two-goal lead in less than 20 minutes thanks to goals from Alejandro Garnacho and Bruno Fernandes.

But before the half, Galatasaray scored thanks to an error by Andre Onana.

United suffered setbacks even though Scott McTominay extended their lead to 3-1; Galatasaray took advantage of Onana’s mistakes to equalise in the 69th minute.

The game ended in a draw, despite both teams’ best efforts to win in the last minutes, which significantly hurt United’s chances of winning the group.

After the match, the Manchester United captain said to Footballwave, “To be honest, it’s too bad.” Not to come across as overly critical, but what we’ve been doing in the Champions League is insufficient. This is not the first time we have had to exert control over our games.

At halftime against Bayern Munich, Man United is tied for second place in their group, one point behind leaders Kobenhaven.
