Liverpool is considering a young La Liga player who has four goals to replace Mohamed Salah.

Although it is unclear if Mohamed Salah will stay with Liverpool after the current season, Jurgen Klopp already has one replacement in mind should the Egyptian star depart Anfield.

After making preliminary inquiries during the most recent summer transfer window, Saudi Arabia has identified the Liverpool winger as its top target for the summer of 2024.

Salah’s current contract at Anfield expires in 2025, so if he doesn’t sign a new one, next summer would be the best time to sell him in order to get the best price from the Saudis.

Assane Diao of Real Betis is one of Jurgen Klopp’s possible summer replacements, according to Footballwave.

According to the report, Klopp has observed Diao’s quick ascent at Real Betis, where the winger, who is only 18 years old, has established himself as a regular starter.

This season, the Betis player has made 11 appearances across all competitions, tallying four goals in the process.

Diao’s current contract has a €30 million release clause that expires in 2027. Given his age, the winger is probably going to stay with the La Liga team for a while, but if Liverpool makes a move in the summer, the Spanish team will have to accept their offer.
