Over the years, many players have come to regret their transfer decisions; for Jesper Lindstrøm of Napoli, it may have meant declining Liverpool.

At least Tutto Napoli speculates today that the winger might be regretting his choice to play for the Italian champions this summer rather than Liverpool.

After a few years of impressing at Eintracht Frankfurt and making a name for himself as a talent to watch, Lindstrøm moved to Napoli in the summer for €30 million.

Liverpool, who also attempted to sign him this summer, was allegedly one of the major teams actively monitoring his progress.

I support Liverpool, so it would have been a fantastic opportunity, but how many minutes would I have had to play? “Liverpool was also on me.” At the time, he questioned if visiting Liverpool would have been wise.

He clarified his choice of Napoli by saying, “It’s one of the best clubs in the world and they told me I will play and have many opportunities.”

However, that is no longer the case for him after two month. Rather, Lindstrøm has played a relatively little role for Napoli this season, appearing in just six games overall and 18% of the league’s available minutes.

Rudi Garcia has chosen alternative options, therefore he has only played 136 minutes overall. Tutto Napoli has speculated that he regrets picking Napoli over the Reds.

In fact, they think he could have contributed a lot more to Liverpool this season because Jurgen Klopp frequently switches up his front lineup and uses all of his possibilities.

They claim that Garcia was “too bad he hadn’t reckoned,” or that he had failed to account for the possibility that the new Napoli coach would treat him badly.

The move has been somewhat of a catastrophe thus far, and he is already paying a price for turning down Liverpool, the team he supports.
