Chelsea are eyeing a move for Ademola Lookman as Enzo Maresca aims to strengthen his attacking options this summer. The 26-year-old had an outstanding season at Atalanta, notably scoring a hat-trick in the Europa League final against Bayer Leverkusen in May. He finished the campaign with 17 goals and 10 assists in 45 appearances, drawing the attention of several European clubs.

According to Calciomercato, Chelsea are among those interested and are prepared to make an offer close to the €60 million (£51 million) asking price, despite Lookman joining Atalanta for just €15 million (£12.7 million) less than two years ago.

Lookman’s career has seen him on loan at RB Leipzig before joining them permanently in July, followed by loan spells at Fulham and Leicester. At Leicester, he impressed with eight goals and five assists in 42 appearances, but ultimately chose to join Atalanta permanently.

If Chelsea secure Lookman’s signature, they would be acquiring a player with significant Premier League experience. A quick, direct winger who predominantly plays on the left, Lookman has a knack for scoring and providing assists. His addition would inject much-needed pace and productivity into Chelsea’s attack.
