Barcelona have reportedly reached personal terms with Dani Olmo and have made a new bid to RB Leipzig, aiming for a summer transfer.
After Olmo’s impressive performances at Euro 2024, where Spain won the title, Barcelona expressed interest in signing the midfielder. Initially, their priority was to sign Athletic Club’s Nico Williams, but with Williams reportedly staying with the Basque club for another year, Barcelona shifted their focus back to Olmo.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Barcelona and Olmo have agreed on personal terms for a six-year contract until the summer of 2030. Olmo is said to be solely interested in moving to Barcelona, but the Catalan club has yet to agree on a transfer fee with Leipzig. They have submitted a new bid, hoping for acceptance.
Romano reports that Barcelona’s latest offer to the Bundesliga side is worth €55 million (ÂŁ46.3m/$59.3m), plus €7 million (ÂŁ5.9m/$7.5m) in add-ons.
As a move appears imminent, Olmo has not been integrated into Leipzig’s pre-season plans. It remains to be seen whether the Bundesliga side will accept Barcelona’s new offer.
