BREAKING NEWS‼️ Reported by Fabrizio Romano, Report claims £39k-p w international is about to join Arsenal after rapid talks in last few days. “Arsenal on the brink of a major coup: £39k-per-week international set to sign after swift negotiations! The last few days have seen rapid progress, with the club poised to unveil their latest star addition. “It’s not new that I want him in my team his performance in the Euros has show that he make that difference in the team he’s one of the players we need now”. One player is reportedly close to joining Arsenal after “rapidly” advancing talks in “recent days”.

Arsenal is reportedly close to securing a new player following “rapid” progress in negotiations in recent days. Manager Mikel Arteta and sporting director Edu are keen to enhance the team’s attack, seeking reinforcements both on the wings and through the center.

Arteta’s side lacks a star option to complement Bukayo Saka on one wing, and Gabriel Martinelli’s performance dipped towards the end of last season. This has fueled speculation about Arsenal targeting new wide players, including Spain’s Nico Williams. The Athletic Bilbao star has impressed at Euro 2024, contributing significantly to his club with numerous assists during the 23/24 season. There have been rumors of negotiations between Williams and Arsenal, though he reportedly prefers a move to Barcelona.

If Williams does not join, it remains to be seen which winger Arsenal will pursue. In the meantime, Edu is also on the lookout for a new striker. Last season, Arsenal’s forward line, including top scorers Saka, Leandro Trossard, and Kai Havertz, delivered many of the team’s goals. Despite this, Arsenal is eager to conclude their lengthy search for a top-tier center forward before the 2024-2025 season.

Arteta seeks a striking partner for Havertz, having previously engaged in a high-profile pursuit of Benjamin Sesko. However, Sesko chose to remain with Leipzig, signing a new contract. Currently, Sporting Lisbon star Viktor Gyokeres is strongly linked with a move to Arsenal. The Swedish striker, earning £39,000 a week, has an impressive record with 43 goals and 15 assists in the Bundesliga.

Portuguese publication Leonino reported earlier this week that Gyokeres is close to signing with Arsenal, with only financial details left to finalize. Leonino later updated that Gyokeres is set to join Arsenal for an initial fee of £76 million, with the total cost potentially reaching £101 million, including performance-related add-ons. The negotiations between Sporting and Arsenal have progressed quickly in recent days.

Arteta believes that Gyokeres is the final piece needed to challenge Manchester City and ultimately secure the Premier League title.
