In his first full season, Leverkusen under Alonso’s guidance clinched their maiden Bundesliga title and retained an undefeated record, standing as the sole unbeaten team in Europe while excelling in both the Europa League and DFB Pokal.
Despite speculation linking Alonso to coaching roles at Liverpool and Bayern Munich, he has committed to remaining at Leverkusen for at least another year.
In an interview with Cadena SER, Carro expressed his unwavering belief in Alonso’s eventual managerial role at Real Madrid, asserting, “I have no doubts. One day, Xabi Alonso will be Real Madrid manager. No doubts at all, zero doubts!” Carro acknowledged the potential for Alonso to helm Liverpool or Bayern Munich in the future but emphasized his conviction regarding Alonso’s destiny at Real Madrid.
