SHOCKING NEWS: Reports coming from Fabrizio Romano say that Erik has officially told Manchester United that he wants to leave the managerial position. ” With all my efforts I bring to the team i have found out some people ” won’t call names” are no longer in support working with me, I have given my everything to the club but the club always want win and its not possible for me I’m trying to build a new team which requires time and patience. The fans are making it hard for me too. I can’t work under pressure, its time for me to leave. Ten Hag set to become new Dortmund coach’.

German football pundit Jan Aage Fjortoft, who first reported on the "wild rumour," believes Erik ten Hag is a surprising contender to succeed him as Dortmund manager.

After witnessing his team suffer several devastating losses this season, which saw them drop out of the Champions League and finish bottom of their group, Ten Hag has been under growing pressure at Manchester United.

Because of the upcoming agreement that would see Sir Jim Ratcliffe invest in the team and take over football operations—a move that is expected to be finalised in the coming weeks—United is expected to support Ten Hag for the time being.

However, Matthias Sammer, the club’s adviser, who employed Ten Hag as Bayern Munich’s reserve team coach in 2013, was present when Fjortoft brought up the prospect of Ten Hag taking over as Dortmund’s new coach.

Other than stating, “let us see what happens in the new year,” Fjortoft did not provide any additional details or clarification on the source of the rumour, suggesting that it was merely conjecture at this time.

After watching his team falter in the race for the championship the previous season, current Dortmund manager Edin Terzic has come under fire in recent months. The team is currently ranked fifth in the Bundesliga.

Under pressure managers appear destined for a temporary comeback.
After Ratcliffe’s investment is confirmed, United is not expected to make any significant personnel or managerial changes. Ratcliffe is expected to pay approximately £1.4 billion to acquire 25% of the team.

Ten Hag has an opportunity to prove his value to United during this delay, as many fans became disenchanted with the Dutchman following the team’s devastating defeat by Bayern Munich at Old Trafford, which sent them out of the European tournament.

While Dortmund has only won once in his last six Bundesliga games, they are on the verge of qualifying for the Champions League knockout stages, which could buy Terzic some more time.

Ten Hag might become the front-runner for the Dortmund position if it became open as a result of the Sammer connections, but any agreement would be contingent only on the Dutchman’s future at United, which is not expected to clear up anytime soon.
