SHOCKING NEWS: Fabrizio Romano has announced that Manchester United are already considering replacing Antony after his disappointing start to life at Old Trafford, with Erik ten Hag’s side eyeing up a move for former Real Madrid wonderkid. He said ” he “Antony” can leave maybe on loan or a permanent transfer. He has failed me and patience is running out i need hungry player who are eager to play and I no longer see it in him.” As Man Utd targets the former Real Madrid wonderkid Antony, he faces AXE.

After Antony's lacklustre debut at Old Trafford, Manchester United is already thinking about replacing him. Erik ten Hag's team is considering a move for Takefusa Kubo, the former wonderkid of Real Madrid.

Since joining the team for €95 million last summer, Antony has not scored a goal or provided an assist in 18 games this season, failing to live up to his high price.

Even though Ten Hag has shown loyalty to his former Ajax star and the forward has only managed eight goals and three assists in 62 games across all competitions, United’s patience seems to be wearing thin.

According to The Sun, United has sent scouts to watch Kubo play for Real Sociedad at least seven times this season. The 22-year-old is having an incredible season for the La Liga team.

After signing a €6.5 million contract to join Sociedad from Real Madrid, Kubo scored 13 goals and provided three assists in 14 starts for the team last season.

The Japanese international’s contract with Soceidad runs until 2027, but there is a reported release clause worth about €60 million; however, Madrid is also thought to have a buy-back option for half that sum.

What does United have scheduled for January?
Having spent over €200 million in the summer, United has stated that they are unlikely to make any big additions in January due to the club’s financial fair plays restrictions.

Although Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s partial takeover of the team is expected to be confirmed in the upcoming weeks, United’s January plans are not expected to be significantly affected by his arrival.

Rather, United will only think about adding significant players if they can offload existing players. Donny van de Beek is almost certain to sign a loan deal to Frankfurt, while Jadon Sancho is still on the transfer list.

Saudi Arabia may show interest in Raphael Varane and Casemiro, who also have uncertain futures at the team. Ten Hag, however, is eager to hold onto the pair until the summer unless he can find replacements.
