EXCLUSIVE NEWS: coming from a reliable source in Italy, Napoli striker has hand in a transfer request. ” I love Napoli but the coach and the board has made it hard for me for the past few month and I see it’s time for me to leave and start a new adventure elsewhere ” Victor Osimhen tells two Premier League teams to “come and get me,” after acknowledging that he declined a “huge” summer transfer. “I love Manchester United and I will love to see my self in the United shirt can’t wait to join the club”
Premier League teams have long been said to be interested in signing Victor Osimhen, and now two clubs have the upper hand.
After admitting that he rejected down a very substantial offer last summer, Victor Osimhen revealed which two Premier League teams he would love to join.
After a season of Serie A goalscoring that earned him the Golden Boot, the Napoli striker has been the focus of strong transfer rumours for the past year. Given the current strong demand for finishers, the 24-year-old has been linked to some of Europe’s most prominent clubs.
Naturally, Premier League teams have been among them; reports have indicated that Chelsea, Manchester United, Liverpool, Newcastle, Arsenal, and Tottenham Hotspur have all expressed interest at some point.
And today, during an interview with former Chelsea midfielder John Obi Mikel for the Obi One Podcast, Victor Osimhen disclosed which two English teams he would choose to join if he were to leave Napoli.
Osimhen declared, “I have two shirts: Chelsea and Manchester United. I don’t have a favourite Premier League club.” “Many of my pals support Manchester United, and a good number of Chelsea.
“The Premier League is an excellent league that is most popular among African players.”
However, earlier in the talk, Osimhen talks about declining a move from Saudi Arabian team Al-Hilal, which had a £175 million deal turned down by Napoli. The Nigerian goal scorer emphasises that he and the Italian champions came to the decision, although he acknowledges that it was tough to turn down such a tempting offer.
“It is true what was mentioned. To be honest, I never considered leaving Napoli during the summer because they wanted to keep me, but when the enormous offer from Saudi Arabia arrived, it was difficult to turn it down. I chose to stay after speaking with Napoli.
It was absurd. They boosted the money offer the more times I answered no. They never gave up, and it would have altered my life. I replied, “No guys, I’m staying,” though.
“I had discussions in August, and I had to make a big choice. Napoli and I decided to decline when I spoke with them. I didn’t want anyone to believe that I was ready to go. I made the right choice in terms of my job.
